Pownall Hall is set within large and attractive grounds which are used by all the children on a daily basis. The historic hall presides over the other buildings providing a traditional view to a modern, forward thinking school.

Pownall Hall School is dedicated to ensuring that the children fulfil their potential. For girls and boys, from 2 years to 11 years, Pownall Hall School aims to give each child an excellent start in life. With all the advantages of a superior academic education and opportunities to grow and develop, the whole child is considered.

The pace of learning is monitored by our experienced and well qualified staff, and tailored to each child. Small class sizes and dedicated subject teaching in the later years help each child achieve their fullest academic potential. Pownall Hall takes pride in its children and the high standards they accomplish, both inside and outside the classroom.

An extremely friendly school with a happy, yet hardworking atmosphere, Pownall Hall promotes every opportunity for pupils to develop their talents. This all contributes towards the excellent results achieved by the children in entrance examinations, and also enables pupils to gain the skills and confidence that will take them forward into the future.

Whilst there is an emphasis on academic excellence, the school also fosters the child’s other needs and abilities. There are wonderful opportunities for both girls and boys to enjoy a wide range of sports, with the facilities which include a large sports hall, netball/tennis court and two large playing fields. Pownall Hall School is also in the fortunate position to have a purpose built theatre, which is used extensively for music and drama.
