Extra-Curricular Activities
A wide variety of club activities are organised at lunchtimes and at the end of each day. These activities are available to all the children. Popular activities include cricket nets, choirs, drama, hockey training, ICT, judo, music, netball, pottery, rounders, soccer and tennis, although this is by no means an exhaustive list.
In addition to in-school activities, there are also many opportunities for visits to places of interest. Theatre trips are arranged and a variety of theatrical groups visit the school during the year. Outdoor trips such as skiing and activity holidays are also arranged. Travel is by coach or school minibus, with seat belts throughout. From Form 4 upwards, children are expected to take part in at least one residential activity during the course of the school year. This helps to develop greater maturity and the ability to cooperate with other people, in addition to many other skills.
A range of our Clubs and Activities are held at School for all the children to enjoy, even those youngest children can join in. As well as those activities which are run by staff, either at lunch times or after school, we welcome outside organizations who can add their special expertise.
