Pownall Hall School is surrounded by beautiful grounds. The Hall itself contains an Information Communication Technology suite (ICT) with many PCs including Internet, e-mail facilities, interactive whiteboard, additional classrooms and administrative offices. Externally there are the Nursery and the modern Kindergarten and Reception classrooms, both with their own playing areas. There are additional classrooms for Forms 1 to 6 all housed in modern accommodation. Also a well-equipped Library provides extra reading resources. With a Science Lab, a spacious Sports Hall and an Arts Centre comprising a fully equipped Theatre, Music Room and Art Studio, the school has excellent facilities. Our playing fields are on site and allow for all major sports and athletics to take place without the need to travel to other grounds.

Art & DT Studio

The Art & DT studio at Pownall Hall is situated within the Theatre building, above our Music room. The vaulted ceiling and wonderful lighting give the art room an atmosphere that encourages creativity.

Well stocked with resources and specialist materials, children are encouraged in their art to use their creativity beyond the traditional paint and paper. Our equipment includes a printing press and kiln giving the children the opportunity to extend their ideas into such mediums as batik, ceramics, sculpture, modeling and textiles.

From year 3 children are able to access all the activities and excitement within our Art & DT studio. It is with great satisfaction that the children are able to follow a project through, from the original idea and design to a finished product.

Design and technology lessons are a great favorite with the children, and many parents will attest to the skill and enthusiasm expressed by their child.
