Pownall Hall School is surrounded by beautiful grounds. The Hall itself contains an Information Communication Technology suite (ICT) with many PCs including Internet, e-mail facilities, interactive whiteboard, additional classrooms and administrative offices. Externally there are the Nursery and the modern Kindergarten and Reception classrooms, both with their own playing areas. There are additional classrooms for Forms 1 to 6 all housed in modern accommodation. Also a well-equipped Library provides extra reading resources. With a Science Lab, a spacious Sports Hall and an Arts Centre comprising a fully equipped Theatre, Music Room and Art Studio, the school has excellent facilities. Our playing fields are on site and allow for all major sports and athletics to take place without the need to travel to other grounds.

Sports Hall & Grounds

We are fortunate at Pownall Hall to have both a fully equipped large Sports Hall and extensive grounds for all our PE and sporting activities.

Within the Sports Hall children participate not only in group lessons but also in dance classes, gymnastics, indoor cricket nets, indoor football and much more. When the weather prevents the children continuing outside, our Sports Hall provides us with a facility that is invaluable.

Outside, the extensive grounds and playing fields provide Pownall Hall with facilities for games and sport that is envied by a lot of our visiting school teams. Our main field can accommodate 2 or more football pitches and it is here that the children participate in many sports including football, cricket, long distant running, athletics and more.

The junior field is usually used by our pre prep children as an enclosed and safe playing area. It is also used for further athletic events in the warmer months and as our rounders pitch and reserve senior sports field.

Pownall Hall also has the advantage of a full sized tennis court which can be used for tennis, netball and hockey.
