SPORT RELIEF
We are intending to support ‘Sport Relief 2010’ on Friday 19th March. This will be a non-uniform day and we would like the children to wear something sporty! Please bring
£1 for the privilege. In the afternoon, we will be walking/running the ‘Sport Relief Mile’ which is approximately 4 laps of the front field. We are asking for a further donation of £1 for this event. Parents are very welcome to attend and join in with the walk/run – we will be starting at 2.00 p.m. Thank you.

DOG MESS
As I greet the children at the end of the path in the morning, I have noticed an increase in the amount of dogs that are being allowed to foul on the pavements. Although this is not happening on school premises, we have contacted the council on numerous occasion as we are concerned by the number of dog owners that are breaching the law by not clearing away their dog’s mess. We have had occasions where children and parents have either stepped in or fallen in it on their way into school. If you have noticed this I would encourage you to contact the Cheshire East Council to add to our argument, as we believe the council should make owners take more responsility for clearing this away when it is near school premises. Thank you. Headmaster

be available to purchase from the school office during July.
WATER BOTTLES
Many children have been experiencing difficulties with the tops on their water bottles. We have contacted our supplier who has provided us with some more whilst they look at a different design. If your child requires a free replacement lid, please see Mrs. Siddall in the school office. Headmaster

SPORTS RESULTS
Hockey U11 Boys (H) v Terra Nova Won 3-2
This was a very exciting game where the Pownall boys were very much in control of the possession. The team consisting of Todd Leddy, Orran Robinson, Alfred Jackson, George Smith, Toby Williams, Calan Collins, David Harris, Jake Henry, Jack Ronnie and William Woodier, all played really well with lots of accurate passing and great team play. Todd Leddy scored a hat-trick and was a great team captain. Well done boys a very worthy win.

Football U10 (A) v MGS
By James Gale
The team was: James Gale in goal, Ickfaz and William in defence, centre midfield was Tyrese, left midfield James Simmonds, right midfield was Henry Hall and up front was Tom Curtis. We started the game with Pownall centre. MGS scored the first goal, then Tom scored Pownall’s first goal. Tom had lots of chances and they were all very close. At half time, the score was 1-1. MGS started with centre in the second half and scored their second goal. Tom scored another goal for Pownall making the score 2-2. In the last few minutes, Henry and Tyrese hit the cross bar. The team thought it was all over but then Tyrese scored a goal for Pownall. MGS had lots of chances in the last 5 minutes but they didn’t score any more goals. The final score was 3-2 to Pownall. The U10 team was very happy that they won against MGS, both teams were very good.
Football Form 2 (A) v Altrincham Prep.
On Thursday afternoon at South Downs Road, Bowdon, Form 2 boys played Altrincham Prep. School for their first game of the season. The boys played three games in total against APS and remained unbeaten. The boys scored seven goals in total to APS’s one over the course of the day. The goal scorers were Kyle Campbell (3), Drew Baker (3) and Niall Curwen (1). All of the boys played
fantastically well and the highlight of the day was a six nil win in the first match. Pownall look to have a promising group of young footballers in the making, judging by the
performances on view in the three games. Man of the Match was awarded to Drew Baker. Alan Day
