Form Four
It is in form 4 that our children really start to grow and mature as they have moved completely away from the junior part of the school and are given far more independence and responsibilities.
The day starts with registration at 8.30 and the children are encouraged to tackle literacy activities prior to Assembly. There may also be House meetings, and choir or music practice before lessons start…
Lessons are taught both in whole class groups and smaller sets where appropriate. At this stage the children are taught by specialist teachers in many subjects. Art, Design & Technology and IT are taught in small groups giving each child the maximum attention.
Each child has his/her own desk in the form room which is the base where their personal belongings are kept. As the pupils move between different lessons they learn to be more independent.
It is at this time that the children begin to relish all that Pownall Hall has to offer in the wide variety of lunch time and after school clubs and activities. These include: cookery club, jewellery making, mad science, judo, dance or gym club and more. There is also a wide variety of sporting activities.
